Interacts closely with the residents, guests, and others, providing quality service that enhances the customers’ experience.\nWelcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor\nAssist in seating guests and providing them with menus\nCommunicate any specials or promotions\nFill glasses with ice water and answer any questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requests\nTake accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them in to the POS system\nCoordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all of the table’s orders are prepared and delivered on time and together.\nAssembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary\nServes meals; places dishes by courses in front of each person; serves from the left of the person\nCoordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all of the table’s orders are prepared and delivered on time and together. .\nRemoves soiled dishes\nSuggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks\nVerifies accuracy of process, state and federal taxes, tips, and/or other charges on all bills\nPresents bills to guests\nHandles all cash, credit card, and resident charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures\nKeeps assigned tables, dining room, and bus station clean and tidy\nAdvises supervisor of complaints as they occur\nPerforms clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the manager\nParticipate in pre-shift meetings and training sessions as required\nPerform other duties as required\nQualifications (Education, Experience, Technical Skills)\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPrevious experience in restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not required\nTechnical Requirements:\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nEffectively present information to management, customers, and staff.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.\nSkills and Knowledge:\nAbility to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.\nStrong multitasking and time management abilities\nAbility to work under pressure while complying with all relevant legislation.\nKnowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies\nExcellent customer service and communication skills\nCritical thinking skills\nBasic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips\nPhysical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periords.\nPersonal Attributes\nSafety minded\nProfessional and friendly.
