This role is labor-intensive and requires high situational awareness to assist with daylighting and non-destructive digging near sensitive underground infrastructure.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n· Rigging & Mobilization: Assist the Operator with rigging up and down the truck; manage the assembly of hoses, booms, and attachments.\nExcavation Support: Operate high-pressure water wands and guide vacuum dig tubes to expose utilities without causing damage.\nSite Setup: Deploy traffic control measures, including cones, barricades, and signage, to maintain a secure work zone.\nEquipment Care: Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of hoses, filters, and cyclones; conduct visual inspections for wear or damage.\nInventory Management: Maintain an accurate daily inventory of all tools and supplies on the unit.\nRequired Qualifications\n· Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).\nDriver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory; a CDL is a plus.\nPhysical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. and work in demanding outdoor environments.\nSafety Certifications: Willingness to obtain required safety and compliance training/certifications.\nTechnical Aptitude: Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with truck maintenance and troubleshooting.\nPreferred Skills\n· Strong communication skills for coordinating with site supervisors and team members.\nA clean driving record and a commitment to \"Zero Harm\" safety cultures.\nKnowledge of underground utility locating and soil types.\nPhysical Requirements\n· Manual Dexterity: Ability to manipulate high-pressure water wands and heavy vacuum hoses for extended periods.\nHeavy Lifting: Regularly lifting and carrying equipment, manhole covers, or debris weighing up to 50–80 lbs.\nMobility: Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and climbing on and off the truck or into trenches.\nVisual & Auditory Acuity: Sharp vision for spotting underground utilities and clear hearing to monitor equipment sounds and verbal safety cues.\nStamina: Capacity to perform repetitive physical labor for shifts that often exceed 10–12 hours.\nWorking Conditions\nOutdoor Exposure: Constant work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, freezing temperatures, rain, and snow.\nNoise Levels: Constant exposure to high-decibel noise from the truck engine and vacuum blower (hearing protection required).\nHazardous Environments: Potential exposure to dust, mud, fumes, and hazardous materials or chemicals depending on the job site.\nVariable Shifts: Availability for early morning starts, night shifts, and on-call emergency response.\nTravel: Frequent travel to various remote or urban job sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)\nOperators are required to always wear industry-standard safety gear, including:\nSteel-toed boots (often metatarsal or waterproof).\nHard hat and safety glasses/face shield.\nHigh-visibility (FR) clothing.\nHearing protection and heavy-duty gloves.\n\nDriven Services, LLC has been a trusted partner in the energy sector since 2013.
