Trusted.\n\nSPA is hiring a Network Engineer to provide design, implementation, monitoring, and management support of secure change-controlled local and wide area networks to ensure maximum uptime for users and mission. This position is aligned with the Operations Research and Cyber Analysis (ORCA) division in Chantilly, VA. The role will include designing secure system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, providing technical solutions to meet the requirements of the company and clients.\n\nSPA has an immediate need for the a Network Engineer. #KS\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.\nInstall, configure, test, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and support network equipment including virtual and physical routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Dell).\nConfigure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.\nMaximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.\nAccurately document instances of network equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.\nInvestigating faults in the network, perform analysis, diagnose, and resolution of complex network problems, and recommend and implement corrective actions.\nCoordinate services, troubleshooting, and resolutions with 3rd party transport providers.\nPerform capacity analysis and planning to ensure growing traffic demand.\nCoordinate and execute scheduled upgrades.\nReporting network status to key stakeholders.\nAccurately document and maintain ATO documentation including standard operating procedure development, artifact creation, submission of artifacts to ISSM and/or government representatives.\nAssist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for monitoring and responding to Cybersecurity continuous monitoring requirements (SIEM, Log review, validation of security controls, required hardening, etc.).\nInterface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed.\nQualifications:\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s Degree in information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nMinimum of 8-10 years directly related experience\nExperience with routing, switching, and firewall configuration in multi-vendor environment (i.e. Dell, Cisco, Juniper)\nExperience in WAN, LAN, out-of-band management, and Storage architecture and environments\nProblem solving and time management capabilities\nExperience working independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment\nUS Citizenship required, successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information\nMust possess and maintain DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification\nActive security clearance (Top Secret//SCI Required) and the ability to maintain it throughoutemployment\n\nPay Range Information: At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
