The Controller will work closely with financial leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and the integrity of financial data. This is a fully remote position.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject accounting management including invoicing and cost reconciliation.\nAccounts receivable monitoring and follow-up.\nLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.\nPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\nPrepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.\nAnalyze financial results and investigate significant variances.\nPrepare project cost summaries on completed projects.\nAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.\nEnsure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain and improve accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.\nCollaborate with departments across the organization on accounting and financial matters.\nAssist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.\nSupport ERP system enhancements and accounting automation initiatives.\nSupport Hubspot (CRM package) finance and project customization.\nMentor junior accounting staff as needed.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting\nCPA certification.\n8 + years of experience with a minimum of 4 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.\nExperience working with ERP systems.\nExperience with month-end and year-end close processes.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (ex. XLOOKUP, XMATCH, Conditional formatting, PivotTables and Pivot Charts, Summarization functions, and Power Query)\nExperience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\n4 + years of public accounting experience on the audit side.\nMaster’s degree in Accounting or MBA.\nExperience with Acumatica ERP and Velixo or other excel based reporting platform.\nExperience in manufacturing, healthcare, technology, or multi-entity organizations.\nFamiliarity with financial reporting tools and business intelligence platforms.\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nThe successful candidate is an initiative-taking accounting professional with a strong technical accounting background, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
