VP, Human Capital (Private Equity)

We’re partnering with a growing investment firm on a newly created Head of Human Capital hire. This is a true build role, reporting directly to the Managing Partner, with full ownership of recruiting, HR, and talent strategy across the business.The firm has reached a point where hiring and people processes need to be more structured and intentional. This person will come in and build that infrastructure properly—bringing consistency to how the business attracts talent, develops its people, and scales its culture.You’ll be working closely with Partners and deal teams, with real influence over how the organization evolves over the next few years.What you’ll be doing:Build and own the end-to-end recruiting function across all roles, from intake through to offer and onboardingPut structure around hiring processes, candidate evaluation, and talent pipelinesDesign and roll out performance management frameworks (goal setting, reviews, feedback loops)Own compensation and benefits strategy, including benchmarking and annual cyclesPartner with leadership on hiring plans tied to deal flow and business growthBuild out core HR processes, policies, and systems from the ground upDrive initiatives around culture, engagement, and internal communicationIntroduce leadership development and training programs as the team growsAct as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people-related decisionsWhat we’re looking for:10+ years across HR and talent roles with increasing ownershipPrivate Equity experience requiredExperience working in fast-paced, high-performance environments where expectations are high and teams are leanSomeone who has built or significantly upgraded people processes beforeStrong presence and the ability to push back constructively with senior stakeholdersHands-on operator who’s equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing day-to-dayHigh EQ, low ego, and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset
