This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in technology, education, mentoring, or leadership.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nCoach and mentor children ages 5–14 using the Code Ninjas curriculum\nHelp students develop problem-solving, logic, and critical-thinking skills\nGuide students toward solutions rather than simply giving them answers\nLead after-school coding programs at local elementary schools\nCreate a fun, positive, and safe learning environment\nCommunicate with parents and build relationships with students and school staff\nAssist with camps, workshops, and special events\nRepresent Code Ninjas professionally in the community\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nPatient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoys working with children\nStrong communication and group leadership skills\nDependable, energetic, positive, and adaptable\nComfortable working independently and as part of a team\nInterested in technology, coding, gaming, engineering, or STEM\nTeaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or childcare experience is a plus\n\nTechnical Experience\n· JavaScript and C# are the primary programming languages used in our curriculum, so basic experience with either language is highly recommended. Experience with the UNITY development environment is also preferred.\n· Training will be provided on our proprietary curriculum, including how to teach JavaScript and C# within our program.\n· Experience with any of the following is a plus:\no Scratch, Lua, Python, Minecraft, Roblox Studio, game development, or other coding/technology platforms. Teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, camp counseling, or working with children is also a plus.\n\nSchedule & Availability\n\nThis is a full-time, on-site position with a combination of in-center coaching and off-site school programs.\n\nAt the Code Ninjas El Segundo Center\nYou will:\nWork regular after-school center hours, coaching students ages 5–14\nSupport camps, workshops, special events, and other center activities\nHelp create a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environment for students\n\nAt Local Elementary Schools\nYou will:\nTravel to nearby elementary schools to lead on-site after-school coding programs\nTeach and coach students using the Code Ninjas curriculum\nLead engaging coding projects and activities that help students build programming, logic, and problem-solving skills\nBuild positive relationships with students, school staff, and families\nRepresent Code Ninjas professionally in the local school community\n\nCenter Hours: M, W-F: 3:00PM – 6:00PM and Sat: 10:00AM – 2:00PM\n\nAdditional hours may include:\nSummer, spring, winter, and school-break camps\nSpecial workshops and events\nCommunity outreach and Code Ninjas events\n\nTypical work hours: Primarily weekday afternoons/evenings, with some Saturday and school-break/camp hours depending on program schedules.\n\nBecause this role includes both center-based and school-based programs, schedule flexibility and reliable transportation are important.
