Cook / Food Service Associate - LSE Airport

Job Description About the Role:If you're passionate about food and providing great service, join the Tailwind team! We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook (Line Cook / Short Order) with Barista cross-training to deliver high-quality meals and an excellent guest experience in a fast-paced airport environment.As a Cook, you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes using flat top grills, fryers, and short-order methods while maintaining strong food safety and quality standards. This role also includes cross-training as a Barista, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and take on additional responsibilities.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, values consistency and teamwork, and wants to grow within the food & beverage industry—all with consistent schedule typical of airport hours.Pay: $14.50/hr + tips (all credit card tips are paid on your check bi-weekly)Tailwind encourages Veterans and Military family members to apply!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare and cook food using flat top grill, fryer, and short-order techniquesProvide consistent, high-quality food by following all recipes and presentation standardsMaintain knowledge of food safety procedures, including proper food handling and temperature controlAssist with barista duties including preparing coffee and specialty beverages (after training)Prep ingredients and ensure proper stocking levelsRestock and replenish product and inventory suppliesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspaceFollow all health and safety guidelinesWork as part of a team to deliver a fast, friendly guest experienceInteract with customers in a positive and professional mannerQualifications/Skills:Previous cook, line cook, or food service experience preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to food qualityAbility to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen proceduresBasic knife skills and kitchen safety knowledgeStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to handle heat, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tasksRequirements:Must be able to pass background check to receive airport badgeMust have reliable transportationBenefits:$14.50/hr + tipsPaid trainingEmployee discountEmployee referral program401(k) with employer matchingHealth, Dental and Vision offered to Full-time employeesTailwind Concessions is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
