We are looking to add a Credit Analyst to support our growing third-party origination (broker) channel. This role is responsible for underwriting small- to mid-sized commercial credit transactions sourced through independent brokers and referral partners across a variety of industries.\nIn this position, you will evaluate credit applications involving equipment financing and other structured transactions. You will assess creditworthiness, make independent decisions within delegated authority, or provide well-supported recommendations.\nThis is a fast-paced role where you will balance risk discipline with responsiveness to support broker relationships and deliver an exceptional customer experience.\nOur typical Credit Analyst can work on multiple credit applications each day, depending on complexity. The role provides a broad foundation for risk management within GreatAmerica, supporting career advancement as desired. Our best credit analysts are eager to influence their own development, maintain a \"can do\" attitude, responds well to challenges, and excel at thinking on their feet while making prudent decisions.\nEssential Responsibilities Perform direct and thorough investigation and obtain relevant credit information to formulate credit decisions within established risk tolerances and prescribed time frames, providing written analysis and justification for the decision.\nReview, spread and analyze financial statements and/or tax returns as applicable.\nUtilize credit bureaus and review personal financial statements and/or tax returns as needed to evaluate personal guarantor’s creditworthiness.\nThe primary focus will be within our Third-Party Origination vertical but may also support transactions within our other Specialty Markets divisions as needed.\nTo be successful in the Credit Analyst role, you’ll need: A bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.\nDemonstrated interpersonal skills are a must as GreatAmerica takes pride in providing an excellent customer experience during every interaction.\nExcellent analytical ability, enjoy making independent decisions, and the ability to process information quickly.\nAn understanding of financial statements and tax returns.\nSharing rewards is an integral part of our culture.
