Find your future with us.\r\nPosition Overview\r\nThe Boeing Company is looking for a F-22 Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to join the F-22 Simulation Infrastructure team located in Berkeley, Missouri.\r\nThis position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. This organization designs, develops, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF). Your role will require you to work as a member of an agile team to create and maintain the simulation environment and infrastructure used to support the development and test of advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. These models support the software engineers and are utilized in a desktop development environment for our engineers as well as hardware/software integration labs throughout the enterprise.\r\nPosition Responsibilities\r\nSupports the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, simulation visualizations, virtual environments/platforms, and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle\r\nSupports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated\r\nSupports designing, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities\r\nContributes to data collection and processing for use in simulations\r\nSupports validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures, and test environments, executing test procedures, documenting test results, and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models\r\nContributes to documenting and maintaining technical code, algorithms, specifications, and descriptions of simulation models\r\nSupports partnership with cross-functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems\r\nSupports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment\r\nSupports modernizing, migrating, sustaining, and updating simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems\r\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)\r\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship\r\nBachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline\r\nAbility to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)\r\n2+ years' experience in Ada, C++, Python, C#\r\n2+ years' experience in Linux and Windows operating systems\r\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)\r\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry\r\n3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\r\n5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience\r\nExperience in designing, developing, integrating, applying, and testing software models, simulations, framework environments, tools, and applications with higher order programming languages, assembly, and auto-code\r\nExperience with performing Application Programming Interface (API) design, implementation, and testing\r\nExperience in real-time software architecture and design methodologies to synthesize models and simulation frameworks that meet real-time requirements; this includes knowledge of real-time target environments, its processor and network architecture, communication protocols, and electrical interfaces\r\nExperience with building and execution environments that include hosts, processors, operating systems, and networks\r\nExperience with verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes\r\nExperience with cloud architecture, including the different types of clouds (public, private, and hybrid), the different cloud platforms and the various components involved (computing, storaging and networking)\r\nExperience with containerization technologies which includes understanding how to manage containers, deploy applications in a containerized environment, and troubleshoot issues\r\nExperience in the understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and security (focus on security best practices and technologies)\r\nDrug Free Workplace\r\nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.\r\nCodeVue Coding Challenge\r\nTo be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
