5C Data Centers is seeking a highly driven Onsite Construction Manager to lead day-to-day on-site construction activities at our Springfield, Ohio (CMH01) data center campus. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of hyperscale and AI-ready infrastructure—on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role requiring strong coordination across general contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, OEMs and commissioning agents, as well as internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has deep experience in mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure construction.Key Responsibilities:Site Leadership & ExecutionServe as the primary onsite representative for all construction activities at the Springfield campusOversee daily construction operations, ensuring alignment with project schedules, milestones, and deliverablesMonitor contractor performance, productivity, and adherence to scopeProject CoordinationAct as the central liaison between construction, engineering, design, and operations teamsCoordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, commissioning agents and vendors to resolve field issues quicklyLead daily/weekly site meetings, progress reviews, and reportingSchedule & Budget ManagementTrack project schedules and proactively identify risks to timelinesSupport cost control efforts, change order review, and budget trackingEscalate risks and delays with recommended mitigation strategiesQuality AssuranceEnsure all work meets design specifications, industry standards, and company expectationsConduct regular site inspections and enforce quality control processesSupport commissioning readiness and turnover to operationsSafety & ComplianceEnforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and site safety protocolsPromote a culture of safety across all contractors and vendorsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal construction requirementsStakeholder CommunicationProvide clear, concise reporting to leadership on project status, risks, and milestonesMaintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partnersSupport executive-level updates as neededQualifications & Requirements:Required7–12+ years of construction management experience, in data centers including familiarity with MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), especially critical systems (power, cooling)Proven experience managing on-site construction for complex, multi-phase projectsStrong knowledge of:Construction methods, scheduling, and sequencingSafety regulations (OSHA)Contract administration and change managementAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentsExcellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferredExperience in hyperscale data center or AI infrastructure buildsExperience working in fast-track or startup environmentsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
