The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult populations, particularly individuals with neurological conditions or acquired brain injuries.\n\n*Candidates must have reliable transportation and use their own vehicle for community visits. Mileage is reimbursed. This position is based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area*\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing evaluations.\n* Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and evaluation results.\n* Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in home and community settings.\n* Treat communication challenges involving memory, expressive and receptive language, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.\n* Provide treatment for swallowing disorders and help clients strengthen the muscles involved in swallowing.\n* Teach clients strategies to improve speech, voice, functional reading, and written communication.\n* Develop and implement alternative and augmentative communication strategies for clients with limited or no verbal communication.\n* Monitor client progress, conduct re-evaluations, and modify treatment plans as needed.\n* Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies.\n* Provide education and training to clients, families, caregivers, and other members of the treatment team.\n* Collaborate with physicians, case managers, rehabilitation professionals, and other healthcare providers.\n* Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized rehabilitation goals and discharge planning.\n* Provide strategies and training to staff to support clients' treatment plans.\n* Assist with vocational and avocational assessments, including task analysis and strategies to support clients in work and community activities.\n* Complete evaluations, treatment notes, monthly reports, and other required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.\n* Provide education and in-service training as appropriate.\n* Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements.\n* Follow applicable professional, regulatory, and ethical standards, including ASHA guidelines, state practice requirements, HIPAA, DDD requirements, and CARF standards.\n\nQualifications\n\n* *Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology* required.\n* *ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)* required.\n* *Current state licensure* as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.\n* *Experience working with adults required.*\n* Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries, neurological disorders, or other cognitive/communication impairments strongly preferred.\n* Community-based rehabilitation experience strongly preferred.\n* Excellent communication, organization, documentation, planning, and time-management skills.\n* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.\n* Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, current auto insurance, and acceptable driving record required.\n* Must be comfortable traveling throughout the community for client visits. *Mileage is reimbursed.*\n\nSchedule & Work Environment\n\n* *Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM*\n* Hybrid schedule with *home/community-based client visits*\n* Travel is required for client visits, with mileage
