This is different than larger builds completed independently, at someone's own pace, in a cell environment. Please make sure candidates are aware of this.\nAssembles electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, products, or systems, which include soldering together components to assemble fabricated metal items, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms machine and/or process operations using basic hand tools and other equipment that may be unique to the application.\nReads work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or received verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.\nPerforms basic to moderately complex assembly tasks.\nPositions and aligns part to specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.\nCrimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.\nMay refer to technical drawings, engineering notices and/or specifications; reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team Leader or Manager.\nReassembles or reworks (solder) units as required.\nMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.\nMay rotate to other workstations in the unit.\nPerforms other duties as requested, directed or assigned.\nREQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nCandidate should have strong mechanical aptitude.\nAbility to follow workplace safety standards and company policies and procedures.\nAbility to work in a team setting and contribute to building a positive team culture.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to do basic computer functions.\nAbility to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.\nCandidate should have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small parts.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
