The Journeyman Electrician will install, wire, and terminate electrical components for solar projects, including inverters, panels, and balance-of-system equipment. Daily responsibilities include interpreting electrical plans, performing code-compliant installations, and conducting testing to verify system performance and safety. The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and completing documentation such as work orders and inspection reports. The Journeyman Electrician will collaborate with project managers, apprentices, and other field team members to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards while adhering to local and national electrical codes.Qualifications Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical theory, including safe work practices and applicable electrical codes.Proficiency in electrical work related to installations, wiring, and system commissioning for solar or similar systems.Experience with maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, circuits, and control systems.Familiarity with basic electrical engineering concepts as they relate to system design, load calculations, and equipment selection.Current Journeyman Electrician license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain, as required by regulations).Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.Comfort working outdoors, at heights, and with hand and power tools in varying weather conditions.Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to OSHA standards and company safety procedures.Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with diverse field and office teams.Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
