The Server DPPM Data Center is used to identify the DPPM of AMD EPYC products. As a Debug lead you will be responsible for driving improvements in the testing, failure identification and debug process working with hardware System Engineering teams, IT teams and other stakeholders.\n\nTHE PERSON:\nThe AMD Server platform validation team is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing data center Debug Engineer to join our growing team focused on improving quality of AMD EPYC processors. The individual needs to have a strong understanding of x86 architecture, hands on post silicon System platform validation and the general silicon manufacturing engineering process. A successful candidate must also possess outstanding verbal, as well as written, communication skills.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDefine the technical specification of the DPPM data Center to identify SoC manufacturing issues and logical failures.\n\nDrive the technical specification to implementation of the DPPM data Center working with platform, silicon, debug tools, IT teams and other stakeholders.\n\nDrive continuous technical improvements in the testing, failure identification and debug process.\n\nWork with debug and manufacturing teams to root-cause of key product issues, manufacturing blockers in a Datacenter Center environment.\n\nImprove debug capabilities and methodology over time by identifying common challenges or impediments to efficient debug and working with partner organizations to drive innovation in platform architecture, design, tools, and methods.\n\nManage and track technical issues, risks, and priorities. Manage executive communications, including program status, risks, and opportunities.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nThe position requires someone with experience in semiconductor x86 debug, fault isolation, failure analysis and/or product engineering yield debug.\n\nExperience with System-level debug and correlation to ATE\n\nExperience in developing automated tests\n\n5+ years of experience in product and test engineering, specializing in silicon debug or FA/FI\n\nExperience in semiconductor debug, fault isolation, failure analysis and/or product engineering yield debug.\n\nGood understanding of PC platform hardware, Operating System, Device Drivers, and System BIOS interactions.\n\nExceptional Linux and scripting languages knowledge (Python, Perl, or Ruby).\n\nExcellent communication and coordination skills.\n\nDemonstrable experience as technical team lead.\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related major with 7+ years of applicable experience.\n\nThis role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship\n#LI-AG1\n\n#LI-HYBRID\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
