Title Facility Specialist, Maintenance (2nd Shift) - 111170 Location USA - Dallas, Cedardale Rd. Division Solutions Job Type Full Time Position Summary The Facility Specialist, Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient condition of the facility and equipment, performing maintenance and completing simple repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, or custodial tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining the condition of the building and equipment, performing general maintenance and completing simple repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, or custodial areas. Executing preventive maintenance systems for building and equipment, performing routine and long‑term preventive maintenance to keep them operating at optimum levels, and collaborating with site management on inspections of material handling equipment, heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Inspecting, maintaining and repairing the building and equipment to ensure daily operation of all material handling equipment. Identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards to ensure a safe work site during repairs and maintenance. Assisting in identifying the source of problems and recommending solutions, inspecting, diagnosing and making emergency repairs to all equipment and furnishings. Operating equipment such as sit‑down and stand‑up reach trucks, sweeper‑scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other hand or power tools while adhering to Basic Safety Forklift Guidelines and maintaining an active forklift certification. Assisting with grounds maintenance as assigned. Ensuring all job tasks promote safety, maintain organization and cleanliness, and comply with SOP, corporate and site policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards. Performing other job‑related duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least one year of general facilities, systems maintenance and repair work experience or equivalent combination of education and training. Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months ranging from mild to moderate. Computer Skills Basic computer skills. Certificates & Licenses Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal). Mathematical Skills Basic math. Additional Skills Basic English reading and writing skills. Ability to troubleshoot general maintenance and service problems. Ability to read and follow manufacturer’s instruction manuals. Ability to spot potential problems and take initiative to correct them. Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a group. Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. Work overtime as required by business. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of specific methods, practices, and tools related to facilities and systems maintenance and repair in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems. Prior or current experience using material handling equipment. Physical Demands The role requires handling and carrying 21-50 pounds, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Use of hand‑or power tools and operation of common equipment such as sit‑down and stand‑up reach trucks, sweepers, scrapers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
