{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"10d3c413f3d7cb9b4acd967e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/10d3c413f3d7cb9b4acd967e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/10d3c413f3d7cb9b4acd967e","title":"Engineer Manager","description":"Description:\nThe Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nAssists with recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering staff.\nOversees the daily workflow of the department.\nProvides constructive and timely performance evaluations.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nLeads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.\nFacilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.\nServes as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.\nReviews work and projects for technical accuracy.\nEstablishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.\nPrepares and executes departmental budget.\nNegotiates contracts with outside vendors.\nMaintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nThorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria.\nThorough understanding of applied math and physics.\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong supervisory and leadership skills.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.\nProficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.\nEducation and Experience:\nMust have a minimum High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.\nBachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering or related field; minimum five (5) years with documented process design and improvement training.\nOther certifications, training or requirements as may arise for this position as communicated by management.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift 15 pounds at times.\nMust be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.\nMay be required to repetitively move or position materials, tools, equipment and objects above and below shoulder level, and from side to side of body.\nMay be required to communicate, discern, convey, or exchange information with other teammates.\nMust be able to wear all personal protective equipment at all times during work hours as required by company safety rules.\nOther duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
