Assures proper orientation of optical elements and uses care in placing into position optical and mechanical components. Bonds optical elements into mechanical housings and prepares RTV rubber compounds, epoxies, and UV cements in accordance with directions provided. Places elements in housing and centers using mechanical centering tools such as pins and shims. Utilizes existing set-ups of auto collimation, zygo machine and other optical alignment equipment during assembly build.
