Job responsibilities include:\n\nLead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.\n\nProvide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.\n\nDevelop knowledge and skills so as to be recognized for expertise and functional leadership in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis and project management while providing advice and counsel to others.\n\nCarry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and wellbeing of technicians and other personnel.\n\nAssist in the development of others in the area of incumbent’s expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.\n\nSeek, recognize, define and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause.\n\nAnalyze and improve process capability to deliver a reduction in defects and variability. Identify, develop, and provide leadership to implement products, processes, materials, systems and procedures to achieve desired business results.\n\nTo succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:\n\nBachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline. Prefer Chemical and/or Pulp and Paper degree from an accredited College or University and 3+ years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Normally requires mill and staff experiences. Prefer candidates with 5-8 years or more of experience in both Mill and Staff environments.\n\nPast experience in paper making (Tissue, Towels) role highly desirable.\n\nStrong experience using manufacturing analysis tools, such as: SPC (statistical process control); design of experiments; process capability studies; Six Sigma; Others.\n\nA recognized expert in manufacturing processes with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects.\n\nExperience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark manufacturing process engineering technology, procedures, processes and products preferred.\n\nExperience working with external technical service providers preferred.\n\nDemonstrated continuing self-development (i.e., progress toward an advanced degree) preferred.\n\nA demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes.\n\nLed by Purpose.
