Ensures timely, accurate information flow between Purchasing, Production, Receiving, and suppliers.\nKey Responsibilities (Main Role)\nCreate and manage outside processing (OSP) orders, including routing requirements, quantities, due dates, and coordination with internal stakeholders.\nEnter and maintain purchasing data in the ERP/MRP system, including supplier information, pricing, lead times, and part/service details as assigned.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nCreate, issue, and maintain purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.\nUpdate open PO status and promise dates based on supplier PO acknowledgements; follow up with suppliers as needed to resolve discrepancies.\nPerform inventory adjustments as directed (cycle count variances, transactions corrections, and other inventory integrity activities) and document changes per policy.\nMaintain accurate records of order confirmations, acknowledgements, and related purchasing documentation.\nCommunicate PO changes (dates, quantities, cancellations, expedites) to Purchasing team members and affected departments.\nSupport receiving/inspection and Accounts Payable with PO matching questions, discrepancies, and documentation requests.\nAssist with supplier performance tracking and reporting (on-time delivery, acknowledgements, open order status) as assigned.\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities related to purchasing accuracy, lead time management, and data quality.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.\n1+ year of experience in purchasing, materials, production control, or administrative support in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nStrong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.\nProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and Outlook.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain organized records.\nClear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with suppliers and internal teams.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with outside processing/subcontract services purchasing.\nAbility to read basic manufacturing documentation (part numbers, routings, revisions) and recognize common discrepancies.\nFamiliarity with inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments) and cycle counting practices.\nCustomer-service mindset with strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.\nWork Environment\nWork is primarily performed in an office setting with regular interaction with the shop floor, receiving area, and suppliers.
