Marshfield Clinic - Marshfield Children's is seeking a full-time RN Inpatient-Oncology/Medical nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in a collaborative, patient-first environment. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, you will provide evidence-based, family-centered nursing care to children with oncology and complex medical conditions in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering chemotherapy and supportive therapies per protocol, monitoring for and responding to adverse reactions, and managing central lines, infusions, and specialized oncology equipment. You will coordinate care and communicate regularly with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, child life specialists, and other disciplines to ensure safe, seamless care transitions. The role includes educating patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, side effect management, infection prevention, discharge instructions, and available support resources, while providing emotional support and advocacy. You will maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record, adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and evidence-based practice projects.
