Shifts are 5:00am to 5:00pm or 5:00pm – 5:00am. 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, and 2 days off.Some Sunday work is required based on reworks.Job Description: This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians are vital to maintaining our Team Member’s safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep. Come be part of our TeamESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team, with minor supervisionPerform routine preventative maintenance repairsPerform emergency mechanical or electrical repairsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipmentSafely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipmentEffectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goalsMinimize downtime due to equipment failureRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions/procedure manualsWork with pumps, hydraulics, and weldingDemonstrate a basic understanding of electrical theory, system wiring, and installationREQUIREMENTS:Education:1 year of maintenance experience education preferred (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience. Electrician license or journeyman license preferredExperience:Minimum 1 year industrial maintenance experience or equivalent experience; must have experience in hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systemsComputer Skills: Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, to process daily work orders and to complete required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Communication Skills:The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills are necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily levelSPECIAL SKILLS:Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequentlyAbility to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per dayAbility to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend and stoopRepetitive gripping, pushing and pullingFrequent overhead workTemperatures inside plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may be also be neededBasic math skills; percentages, fractions and measurementsWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
