The Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining/exceeding productivity and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Lead reports directly to production supervisors, and production manager.\nDuties & Responsibilities Required:\nWork collaboratively with our Production Department, Quality Control, and Maintenance departments to develop and manage process specifications for all molder/mold combinations in the plant.\nDevelop innovative techniques for monitoring our current molding process (including melt temperature measurement, SPC, and more) to enhance product quality and reduce errors.\nDevelop KPI to minimize scrap, changeover times, and improve regrind use.\nSet specifications and monitor molding manufacturing processes to implement cost and quality improvements while maintaining all product specifications required by our customers.\nWork closely with our Plastics Department Supervisors to reduce waste and optimize cycle times through set up and scrap reduction and improved material and machine utilization.\nEstablish and monitor PM procedures (cleaning, storage, restoration, etc.) for all molding equipment.\nEstablish and monitor Process Log, Recipes, Set up Logs for all molding equipment.\nProvide technical input and support to the Engineering Department for new mold designs and modifications as needed.\nAssist in the development and provide ongoing support to molding department technicians and supervisors to enhance their current understanding of the molding process and communicate changes, as necessary.\nEvaluate and manage communications with outside supplier sources for molded parts, components, molds, and tooling, as necessary.\nWork closely with supervisor to stay on schedule and make sure all components are available when machine is ready to run.\nDevelop and publish Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) for all department tasks and keep updated as needed.\nEnforce standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.\nConduct personnel performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary activities for assigned personnel.\nMaintain production schedules making sure they are accurate and updated.\nMake sure all employees are trained properly.\nMaintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.\nIn the event of emergency or evacuation of the building, ensure all personnel in your area safely exit the building.\nTrain all new and current employees on SOPs and Job Descriptions.\nKeep everything clean and organized.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience Required:\n1+ years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering or similar discipline\nA minimum of 1 years’ experience providing support and managing Uniloy, Nissei or shuttle blow molders highly preferred\nA solid background in molding process management and engineering, including extrusion blow molding, injection stretch, and plastics injection molding.\nPlastics Extrusion Blow Molding experience is a required and Plastics Molding experience is highly preferred.\nAbility to be proactive and take initiative to improve processes within the departments.\nStrong computer skills a must\nExperience using computerized manufacturing and inventory systems a plus.\nBilingual (Spanish/English) a plus\nExperience in SAP a plus.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)","company":"Farouk Systems","rawCompany":"farouk systems","city":"Houston","state":"TX","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-03T19:35:29.932Z","occupations":[{"code":"11-3051.00","title":"Industrial Production Managers","slug":"industrial-production-managers"},{"code":"51-4072.00","title":"Molding, Coremaking, and Casting Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders, Metal and Plastic","slug":"molding-coremaking-and-casting-machine-setters-operators-and-tenders-metal-and-plastic"},{"code":"17-2112.03","title":"Manufacturing Engineers","slug":"manufacturing-engineers"}],"industries":[{"code":"326199","title":"All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing","slug":"all-other-plastics-product-manufacturing"},{"code":"326121","title":"Unlaminated Plastics Profile Shape Manufacturing","slug":"unlaminated-plastics-profile-shape-manufacturing"},{"code":"326122","title":"Plastics Pipe and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing","slug":"plastics-pipe-and-pipe-fitting-manufacturing"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Plastics Process Engineer","description":"The Plastics Process Engineer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the production area.
