DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with leadership to determine priority levels for testing of all incoming equipment from purchase orders, stock buys and consignment Collaborates with leadership to determine priority levels for testing of all outgoing equipment for sales orders Collaborates with the Flow Team (i.e. Shipping, Test Lab, and Administration) to determine priority tasks on a daily basis and as needed Oversees and performs testing activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments Communicates any equipment problems to the Management Team, Flow Team, and Sales Team in a timely manner Performs testing per specific test procedures by using measurement instruments, putty, graphical user interfaces, console servers, and all related computer test programs Documents test results with appropriate information in a complete manner, following our current process while making improvements as needed Reads and interprets specific test procedures to properly perform and document test results Installs new equipment platforms to our test lab as needed Researches, develops, and documents test procedures for new platforms. Works with the test lab team to maintain and update the testing documentation for all equipment in our test lab EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred A minimum of five years’ experience in a related field required CCNA, CISCO certification required, CCIE preferred Experience working with Networks and IT required Experience working in the Telecom Industry preferred Engineering certifications and / or experience with Cisco, Adtran, Juniper, Calix, and Brocade/ Extreme equipment is preferred Experience working with core routers, core switches, transport & DWDM networks is preferred Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Office applications required Experience working in a Warehouse environment preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Networking protocols (IPv4, IPv6) A firm understanding of telecommunications equipment, Networking, and IT: Networking Protocols (IPv6, 802.3 Ethernet, RPR/DPT, 802.11, 802.17- ) Routing Protocols (BGP, IS-IS, RIP, OSPF, PIM, MPLS- ) Internet Protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP- ) DOCSIS Technologies and Services Optical Networking (CWDM, DWDM, PON- ) Hybrid Fiber Coax Technologies Traffic Engineering/Modeling AC/DC Electrical Power An expert understanding of Computers A flexible and fair disposition Strong multitasking and time management skills Strong reasoning, mathematical, and communication skills Proven employee management experience Strong project management skills The salary range in this posting depends on qualifications and experience.
