SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT TRAINER II$250 HIRING BONUS AVAILABLEJOB DUTIES SUMMARY: Responsible for completing client assessments and for job finds by ensuring clients are matched with job openings that suit their skills and experience. Responsible for and prepared to go back on the job any time for re-training with client. conducting mock interviews, assisting clients with resumes and monitoring job retention. Responsible for scheduling associated with assigned client caseloads. May be required to provide training to Job Coaches. May be required to transport clients. May be assigned to work in any STARC-operated facility when not assigned specific employment specialist duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Evaluates client’s interests and abilities through use of standardized assessments, personal interviews, observations, etc.Based on information gathered during evaluation process, begins search for a job suitably matched to client “Sells” the idea of supported employment to prospective employers, emphasizing client’s dependability, ongoing support and follow-up, government sponsored employment incentive programs, tax advantages, and guaranteed quality of work.Assists clients in filling out job applications, attending interviews, negotiating wages and hours, arranging transportation, and understanding employer rules, benefits, etc.Develops a job/task analysis with job duties and sequences.Begins systematic instruction of job tasks, as well as related skills involving supervisors and co-workers in the training process as much as possible.Records client’s performance and submits monthly progress reports.Begins a gradual fading from the job site when all job tasks are completed independently and meet company/employer standards.Has the employer complete written evaluations of the client’s job performance and responds immediately if any problems are indicated.Monitors the client’s performance at least twice a month by talking to supervisors and co-workers and by completing task analytic probes, production rate recordings, and on-task observations.Is prepared to go back on the job any time for re-training with client.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Direct Care-Day ProgramsHeavy Work:Job tasks are classified as heavy work that requires occasional lifting of 50- 100 pounds and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving objects of 25 – 50 pounds.
