This role requires knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, wiring systems, and safety procedures to ensure electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.Key Responsibilities:Install electrical systems, wiring, conduit, panels, lighting, and equipment in commercial buildingsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsTroubleshoot and repair electrical issues and equipment malfunctionsInstall and maintain breakers, transformers, switches, outlets, and control systemsPerform preventative maintenance on electrical systemsEnsure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standardsTest electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipmentCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on construction projectsFollow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policiesMaintain accurate records of work completed and materials usedWork Environment:Commercial construction sitesExisting commercial facilitiesIndoor and outdoor work environmentsMay require overtime, weekends, or on-call work depending on project demandsRequirementsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredCompletion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferredJourneyman or Master Electrician licensedMinimum 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience preferredStrong understanding of NEC and commercial electrical systemsAbility to read blueprints and technical documentsValid driver's license and reliable transportationSkills & Abilities:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in various environments, including heights and confined spacesPhysically capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
