Team SupervisorNom Wah Nolita is hiring for a Team Supervisor position in SoHo, New York City. Base pay starts at $22/hr.Situated in New York's Nolita neighborhood ("North of Little Italy"), Nom Wah Nolita is a fast-casual restaurant. Opened in September 2016, this location features self-service ordering systems, traditional dim sum, and a new take on Chinese food. Blending Chinese flavors and American ideas, dishes take a forward-thinking approach.Job DescriptionWe seek a motivated Kitchen Team Supervisor with a commitment to upholding quality standards and aims to grow with our brand. The candidate is motivated to deliver great service to our customers and maintain high culinary standards. The Team Supervisor oversees the management of the team at our Delancey St fast casual restaurant located inside the Market Line. The Team Supervisor will report directly to the Manager.Responsibilities:Training employeesAddressing complaints and resolving problemsUnderstand and execute menu itemsDetail oriented; uncompromising attention to food quality and kitchen maintenanceMaintain inventory of products and collateral suppliesMaintain a positive work environment and strong sense of teamwork in an open kitchenAbility to delegate work among employees in a logical, efficient mannerAbility to work flexible hours to accommodate business needsOpportunity for growth within the company to new locations and positionsQualificationsBachelor or Associate DegreeMust have a NYC Food Handler's License1+ year(s) of experience managing staff to accomplish sales and guest service goalsExperience in a food service environmentDemonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skillsExcellent communication, leadership and team-building skillsFamiliarity with Google Workspace applicationsFamiliarity with Asana (preferred but not required)Availability to work a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and some holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsNOTE - Tax withholding is calculated using Federal and New York State 2022 income tax guidelines.
