Duties include developing, testing, and supporting electrical and electronic systems integration. This role works independently on moderately complex engineering tasks and collaborates with senior engineers on larger projects. Electrical/Electronics Engineer II applies engineering principles to improve reliability, performance, and manufacturability of electrical/electronic solutions. Provides technical support and original design inputs for complex systems. Applies system, hardware and software knowledge, as applicable, to the design, development, sustainment and upgrade of new products and the redesign / modification of existing systems and components. Evaluates and recommends options and alternatives for EW systems. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nApply theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop solutions to electrical/electronic engineering problems.\nDesign products and implement improved processes to enhance performance of defense systems.\nConduct testing and perform analysis of electromagnetic systems.\nSupport and document engineering analyses, studies and testing in the areas of electromagnetics.\nDesign, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and components.\nSupport systems integration activities associated with electrical and electronics systems.\nDevelop and update engineering documentation, including schematics, technical specifications, test procedures, and reports.\nPerform testing, validation, and verification of hardware designs to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.\nEnsure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.\nSupport investigations and engineering evaluations of highly complex projects and products.\nWork with team members, including other engineering disciplines and program management, to transfer ideas into core product processes, facilitate/implement design ideas, and improve existing products.\nInteract with customers, engineers, production personnel and program management to successfully complete projects.\nWork Experience Requirements:\n3 years of professional experience. US Citizen, Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.\nEducational Requirements:\nBachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering\nWorking Conditions:\nThis work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
