Apply Today!\n\nWhere You Will Work\nOur rod and refining plant in El Paso, Texas, is a key contributor to our ranking as one of the world’s largest manufacturers of continuous cast copper rod – a main material used in the manufacturing of wire and cable products. The refinery has the potential to operate at an annual production capacity of about 900 million pounds of copper cathode, which is sufficient to refine all the copper anode we produce at our Miami operations in Arizona. The refinery also produces nickel carbonate, copper telluride and autoclaved slimes material containing gold, silver, platinum and palladium.\n\nThe beautiful city of El Paso features three universities, many community colleges and numerous schools. There are many shopping centers, parks, hiking trails and numerous restaurants for our employees and their families to enjoy.\nWhat You Will Do\nActs as technical expert in general areas of past and present operations and maintenance. Provides technical expertise to support maintenance and commissioning/decommissioning. Will have broad and deep background, knowledge and understanding of industrial processes and associated equipment.\nServes as a project lead and collaborates with maintenance/operations teams to achieve equipment reliability and run time. This work includes, but is not limited to, asset preservation, commissioning, and rebuilds. Team members may be internal or external (vendors or contractors).\nReviews maintenance documentation for plant and equipment, to help identify potential and existing problems and facilitate maintenance best practices. Having identified a problem, determines the root cause and takes action to resolve and/or prevent production/maintenance issues.\nCollaborates with Planners, Operations, and others involved in the planning of critical maintenance activities.\nChampion safety and environmental processes to support and improve maintenance working practices. Mentor personnel on best practices (process, tooling, specifications, etc.)\nCollaborate to develop and utilize standard maintenance templates to achieve equipment reliability.\nPerform other duties as requested.\nWhat You Bring To Freeport\nHigh School diploma or GED AND seven (7) years’ experience in mining industry or manufacturing environment and operations, including project management experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliar with Engineering Codes & Standards\nBi-lingual (English/Spanish)\nMS Project (Gantt chart experience), MS Office\nExperience with SAP (S/4 HANA)\nExperience with Contract Management\nFamiliar in Industrial Work Environment\nExperience with Project Management\nMust be available to work weekends as needed\nWhat We Offer You\nThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000 - $104,000 .
