Change the World.\n\nWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in the design and delivery of colocation and hyperscale data center facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems in large-scale data centers and will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with high-density data centers.\n\nThis position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the U.S. where AECOM has an office. Although the position is primarily remote, periodic travel may be required for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business‑critical activities. Travel is expected to be occasional and scheduled in advance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and implement electrical systems for hyper‑scale data centers, including medium and low‑voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systems.\n\nResponsible for electrical calculations and development of drawings in accordance to client specifications and industry standards.\n\nDevelop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings.\n\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC).\n\nCollaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgets.\n\nStay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years of MEP design experience.\n\nExperience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.\n\nExperience working in Revit and ACC.\n\nExperience working in power system analysis such as SKM or ETAP.\n\nStrong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Building codes including IBC and IECC.\n\nProfessional Engineer License (P.E.).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nFamiliarity with mission critical infrastructure standards and data center design requirements.\n\nExperience with data center design and construction, including design criteria and industry standards.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
