Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and develop database structures, including schemas, tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures to support application development and business requirements.\nOptimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other performance tuning techniques.\nImplement and maintain data integrity and security policies, including backups, disaster recovery, and access controls.\nWork with software developers to integrate databases with applications, ensuring data consistency and reliability.\nPerform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and defragmentation to ensure optimal performance.\nDiagnose and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support to development and data analysis teams.\nDocument database designs, configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure comprehensive records for future reference.\nRefine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nMinimum 10 years experience with MariaDB/MySQL\nProven experience as a Database Developer or similar role.\nExperience with database design, data modeling, and normalization.\nExperience with ETL process design and implementation\nKnowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools\nExperience optimizing SQL Queries for search-intensive applications\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.\nDesired Skills:\nExperience with Java Data Access technologies (JDBC) and optimizing performance\nKnowledge of AWS cloud-based services\nExperience with scripting languages like Python or Bash\nFamiliarity with version control systems like Git.\nSecurity Clearance – TS/SCI or Secret\n___________________________________________________________________________________________________\nIntelliGenesis is committed to providing equal opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment.
