This opportunity is available in New York, Boston, Washington, DC, or Los Angeles.This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated registered fund and BDC matters, advising leading asset managers and financial institutions on the formation, structuring, and operation of a wide range of retail investment products.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on the formation, structuring, and ongoing operation of registered investment funds and Business Development Companies (BDCs)Work with a variety of retail fund products, including:Mutual fundsExchange-traded funds (ETFs)Listed closed-end fundsInterval and tender offer fundsBusiness development companies (BDCs)Real estate investment trusts (REITs)Other alternative and hybrid investment structuresAssist with regulatory, compliance, and distribution matters in both U.S. and global marketsSupport public company reporting obligations and capital markets-related mattersCollaborate with clients and colleagues on complex fund structures and regulatory issuesQualifications3–5 years of experience in an investment funds or asset management practiceSignificant experience with registered funds and/or BDC formation and structuringExperience advising on retail investment productsFamiliarity with regulatory, compliance, and distribution matters is a plusPublic company reporting or capital markets experience is valuedOutstanding analytical, writing, and communication skillsStrong academic credentialsJ.D. required and admission to the relevant state or DC bar (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)Why This OpportunityJoin a top-tier AmLaw 10 investment funds practiceWork with leading asset managers and financial institutionsGain exposure to complex registered fund and BDC structuresCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefitsStrong opportunities for mentorship, advancement, and long-term career developmentCompensationThe anticipated salary range is $260,000 – $365,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal compensation structures.
