Industrial engineers will examine manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, streamline production times, and minimize the use of resources while ensuring compliance with safety policies. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods will be a key skill for this role.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nEducation: BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering required\n\nExperience: 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment\n\nTravel: 10-25%\n\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nMonitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.\n\nDesigns efficient production processes and workflows.\n\nEnsures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.\n\nReduces waste and addresses production issues.\n\nReviews production schedules, processes and specifications.\n\nEvaluates data to implement technological improvements in production processes.\n\nImplements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.\n\nWorks with other departments to develop design and production standards.\n\nPrepares inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.\n\nDesigns facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations.\n\nHelps to develop instruction manuals, process documentation for production personnel.\n\nEnsures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.\n\nGenerates process reports.\n\nActively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.\n\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned\n\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
