Senior Manager – Clinical Trial Process Improvement & InnovationClinical Development Operations | Fully RemoteWe are supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Manager to lead process improvement and innovation initiatives across Clinical Development Operations.This is a fully remote, long‑term opportunity operating on a business‑as‑usual basis, not a short‑term project role. The expected assignment duration is 1–4 years, offering stability and long‑term ownership.The RoleYou will be responsible for developing and executing a continuous improvement and innovation framework within Clinical Development Operations, working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.This role combines strategic leadership, hands‑on delivery and change management, with a strong focus on harmonising processes, enabling digital solutions and improving global clinical trial delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead global process improvement and innovation initiatives across Clinical Development OperationsIdentify, prioritise and deliver continuous improvement opportunities aligned to strategic objectivesHarmonise and streamline clinical trial processes across regions, teams and therapy areasDefine future‑state process and clinical technology roadmaps with senior stakeholdersDevelop business cases and secure leadership commitment for key initiativesProject manage complex, cross‑functional and global initiatives end‑to‑endApply structured change management and root‑cause analysis methodologiesAct as a change agent, embedding an operational excellence cultureManage external vendors delivering process or technology solutionsCoach and mentor internal teams, with potential line‑management responsibilityExperience RequiredMinimum 10 years’ experience within a pharmaceutical or biotech environmentStrong background in Clinical Development / Clinical OperationsProven experience in Operational Excellence, including:Continuous ImprovementProject ManagementChange ManagementExperience delivering global, cross‑functional initiativesStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsExperience working in complex, matrix organisationsVendor management experienceEducation & QualificationsDegree in a scientific, medical or pharmaceutical discipline (essential)Graduate degree preferredProject / programme management qualification (e.g. PMP) preferredAdditional InformationFully remote roleLong‑term assignment (1–4 years)Business‑as‑usual role (not project‑based)Shortlisting will be completed with the client on Wednesday morning, so it is important that we speak as soon as possible if this role is of interest.
