You will have the opportunity to integrate AI/ML technologies into traditional CAD workflows, enabling intelligent automation and design assistance.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nResponsible for the maintenance and support of Cadence suite of applications (OrCAD, Allegro, System Capture, Pulse).\n\nDesign, develop, implement and support Cadence extensions, features, and customizations.\n\nExplore and implement AI/ML‑powered features for intelligent design review, automated design generation, and design optimization.\n\nSupport, enhance, and develop integrations with PDM/PLM toolsets and workflows.\n\nDevelop custom OrCAD workflows and process automations.\n\nDevelop automations using Tcl/SKILL scripting.\n\nCollaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate large language models (LLMs) and machine learning capabilities into ECAD workflows.\n\nProvide subject matter expertise on Cadence toolset and ECAD data management.\n\nDiagnose and solve a range of issues, including software deployment, platform interoperability, EDA systems, installation, and licensing.\n\nInteract with business customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements.\n\nCreate business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents, and implementation documents.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n1+ years of software development experience.\n\nExperience with Java and scripting languages like Perl, Python, Unix shell scripts, VBA and MS Excel.\n\n1+ years of developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (2010 or newer).\n\nExperience collaborating with ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent.\n\nBS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.\n\nDevelopment experience using SKILL, Tcl.\n\nFluency in AI/ML/LLM technologies and their practical applications in software development and automation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with machine learning frameworks (AWS Bedrock, TensorFlow, PyTorch) or working with large language models.\n\nDemonstrated ability to integrate AI capabilities into traditional engineering workflows.\n\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $122,600.00 - $174,600.00 USD annually.
