The role of Coordinator, Live Events and Programming involves managing live events and public programming to ensure the success of each event, guided by the Director of Live Events.\n\nDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nAssists the Director Live Events with planning and executing Avenida, Theater District and other Houston First programmed events.\nCoordinates entertainment talent – scouts, books, contracts, invoices.\nServes as onsite logistical point of contact, including but not limited to, stage management and vendor coordination during events.\nServes as administrative support for the Department.\nAssist as needed with Marketing, PR, and social media – on-site photography, information for posts, and posting to social platforms in real-time.\nParticipates in Lynn Wyatt Square for the Performing Arts programming team to further develop subsequent live events.\nSupervised event staff and contractors for the event.\nEnsures the event follows all building and City of Houston Fire Codes.\nCompletes and closes all event paperwork and files.\nEnsures that all event information is accurate and up to date in the system.\nAssists the Live Events team with Ungerboeck and budgeting reports as needed.\nOther duties and special projects as requested by the leadership.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage contractors during the event.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s Degree or professional designation through IAVM.
