Work closely with site leadership to determine hiring needs, deadlines for assigned tasks and enforce safety protocols to crew members.\nResponsibilities Production: Ability to interpret specifications and read blueprints\nAssist in lay out of work for crew\nPreplan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet job schedule\nMonitor quality control of work in place by craft workers\nOrder and coordinate delivery of necessary materials\nComply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as: Daily Reports, Safety Reports, ESRs, Inspection Reports, etc.\nCoordinate equipment needs, ensure operators are qualified and ensure that all equipment is maintained, and repairs are done in a timely manner\nSupport jobsite leadership to coordinate activities of individual projects\nMay perform related trade work as required\nRequired to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice\nImplement better methods of production in all aspects of job to strengthen best practices within Wanzek Construction, Inc.\nOther duties as assigned\nQuality: Monitor crew installation for quality issues\nMonitor work areas to ensure quality work is being completed\nLook for ways to improve safety, quality and productivity\nSafety: Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures\nTrain and instruct crew members in safe work practices for assigned tasks\nAudit safe work practices, ensuring PPE is available and used properly\nSupervision: Assist Human Resources and leadership by interviewing, hiring, training, appraising work performance and addressing complaints of employees in the field\nDirectly supervise and coordinate daily activities of craft workers\nComplete ESRs for all employees with a change in job status (transfer, laid off, terminated)\nConduct regular performance reviews of crewmen\nManage up to six or more employees and Lead men\nConduct regular performance reviews\nTrain and mentor new workers\nQualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three or more years' of related experience in construction\nOr equivalent combination of training and experience\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles\nProficient in one or more craft areas\nCapable of supervising a project of six or more craft workers\nRead blueprints skillfully\nAbility to motivate workers, lead by example and communicate effectively\nAbility to compute basics numbers, read scales and use simple fractions\nComputer experience in Microsoft Office and E-mail Communication preferred\nAbility to work well under pressure and within timelines\nFinancial Wellbeing Compensation: $32.00-$36.00/ hourly, commensurate with experience\nCompetitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase\n401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)\nFlexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)\nHealth & Wellness Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children\nDiabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan\nPosition may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
