This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving real-time equipment issues, and interacting directly with customers. An engineering degree is not required—practical, hands-on experience is key.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of industrial equipment\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems (motors, pumps, VFDs, sensors, etc.)\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings\nSupport preventative maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and system upgrades\nProvide technical support and training to customers during and after installation\nDiagnose issues with control systems, wiring, and instrumentation (e.g., 4–20mA signals)\nDocument service activities, findings, and recommendations\nRequired Qualifications:\n3+ years of hands-on field service, maintenance, or technician experience\nStrong experience with electrical systems (AC/DC, wiring, motors, VFDs)\nSolid mechanical troubleshooting skills (pumps, valves, pneumatics, etc.)\nAbility to read and work from technical drawings and schematics\nComfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments\nWillingness to travel up to 60% (overnight travel required)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with industrial/process equipment (pharma, food, packaging, or similar)\nFamiliarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, or vacuum systems\nBasic exposure to PLC systems (troubleshooting only, not programming required)\nKnowledge of industry standards (NFPA, NEC, NEMA)\nWhy This Role:\nHighly hands-on, field-based work with diverse equipment\nOpportunity to work independently and solve complex technical problems\nExposure to a wide range of industrial systems and customer environments\n\nBenefits\nPEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
