This role provides thought-leadership, technical support, and data analytics services across a broad portfolio of cybersecurity and risk management programs. This position is ideal for candidates with a blend of experience in data extraction and transformation, data analysis, and infrastructure optimization, combined with strong consulting skills.\n\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain modular, maintainable data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation in Python\nDevelop and maintain data pipelines for analytics and reporting in Python, SQL, or Power Query\nOptimize data storage and retrieval by leveraging Paraquets columnar format using Python\nUtilize Jupyter Notebooks to accomplish tasks such as exploratory data analysis, prototyping data transformations, and validating data pipeline outputs\nQuery data using Python and SQL to support ad-hoc business requests and identify actionable insights\nWork with diverse data formats including relational databases, structured files, and unstructured data\nAnalyze and manage diverse data sets to improve federal and national risk insights; understand how partner organizations receive and use information from the client to drive down cyber risk.\nDevelop and deliver high-quality products (e.g., reports, briefings, demos, presentations) for data projects, tailored to the stakeholder audience\nProvide reports that organize data analysis in a consumable format for stakeholders, including interactive data visualizations and infographics.\nProvide advice and guidance on data analysis, processing, and data cleansing activities using innovative tools and approaches to organize qualitative and quantitative data for analysis.\nAbility to take initiative and work independently while maintaining excellent communication with project leadership.\n\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevant discipline. Masters’ degree preferred.\n6+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or similar roles.\nAdvanced Python skills for building modular, maintainable ETL pipelines purely in Python\nExperience with Jupyter Notebooks\nExperience writing and reading Parquet files using Pandas and PyArrow or FastParquet\nAbility to understand and translate SQL/Postgres-based logic into Python-based workflows\nAbility to work with a variety of structured and unstructured data formats\nStrong grasp of data architecture and performance optimization (partitioning, compression, schema design)\nExperience collaborating with BI teams to deliver data models that meet reporting requirements\nAbility to query created data and provide ad-hoc reporting\nPossession of excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.\n\nDesired Skills\nExperience with data validation/testing frameworks\nHigh-level understanding of Power BI consumption needs and data formats\nAbility to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (EOD).\nPrior consulting or program support experience with DHS, CISA, or other federal cybersecurity organizations.\n\nLocation: Remote (100% Telework)\n\nDesired Start Date: 8/31/2026\n\nSalary Range: $95,000-$115,000\nLGI carefully considers various factors when determining salary, including but not limited to education and training, professional experience, knowledge, skills and competencies, licensure and certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. New employees are not usually hired at the top of the estimated salary range and salary decisions depend on the circumstances and factors for each case.
