{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0fc1291c03381dd21a23fdba","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0fc1291c03381dd21a23fdba","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0fc1291c03381dd21a23fdba","title":"Multi-Unit Tech","description":"Purpose of Job\nThis position is responsible for performing treatments and technical procedures as required and within the defined scope of practice or validated competency.\nJob Functions\nGathers all necessary demographic and insurance information in order to register the patient.\nAssists nursing staff in direct and non-direct patient care functions.\nObtains and articulates pertinent data in an objective manner.\nCommunicates pertinent patient information to the RN or LPN to assure continuum of care.\nDocuments the various aspects of care on appropriate forms according to RMC policies and procedures.\nPerforms Patient Safety Attendant functions as needed.\nPrepares and transports patients for examination.\nAssists emergency staff in direct and non-direct patient care functions as delegated.\nPerforms EKGs and point of care testing.\nApplies splints and braces on patients as ordered assuring good CMS after application.\nPerforms mandatory equipment checks.\nAccompanies ambulance transports and assists with airway management as needed.\nAssists with transfer/discharge paperwork as well as patient registration.\nDemonstrates competencies in the specialty areas of Emergency, Urgent Care, and In-Patient.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Education/Work Experience\nHigh school graduate or equivalent\nCompletion of a Nursing Assistant or EMT course OR completion of a Nurse Internship with Ridgeview Medical Center OR an approved equivalent of education and experience\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nStrong communication and listening skills\nAbility to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions\nAbility to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above\nKnowledge of basic computer functions\nAbility to respond appropriately to unpredictable situation and diverse patient populations\nAbility to work autonomously and as a team\nCapable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills\nAbility to work and multi-task in a high stress and fast paced environment\nLicense/Certifications\nCurrent Healthcare Provider BLS certification\nPreferred Qualifications\nEMT certification\nNursing Assistant Certification\nExperience as a Nursing Assistant or EMT\nExperience in a hospital setting\nCognitive and Mental Demands\nTime Awareness - Continuous\nWriting - Continuous\nInitiation of Work - Continuous\nMemory - Continuous\nReceptiveness to Change - Frequent\nReasoning - Continuous\nRequired Sequences in Work - Occasional\nProblem Solving - Continuous\nAttentiveness Duration - Continuous\nSocial Interactions - Continuous\nMathematical Aptitude - Frequent\nConflict Management - Continuous\nReading - Continuous\nDetail Oriented - Continuous\nLink to Employee Health Physical Demands\nCompensation\nMany factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
