This position’s primary duties include\nentering and tracking the status of Purchase Orders (POs) placed with vendors. The Purchasing\nDepartment works hand in hand with Vendors, Instrumart’s Order Management Team, and Engineering\nto provide our customers with the most accurate information possible about their orders.\n\nPRIMARY JOB DUTIES:\n\nCreate, review, approve, and send Purchase Orders to vendors\nMonitor all orders placed with vendors and update the status according to the information provided\nContact vendors (by phone or email) whenever necessary to expedite, cancel, check status, or amend a PO\nUse UPS, FedEx, LTL information, and the shipping tool to update the delivery status\nCreate Item Fulfillments for Drop Ship POs and Sales Orders\nCollaborate with Order Management team members and Engineering to resolve any issues, such as delays that impact our customers' satisfaction\nWorking closely with the Shipping Department to ensure all packages/items are received, and monitoring missing/lost items\nAssist the Accounting Department in resolving invoice issues such as price discrepancies, incorrect quantities, and miscellaneous fees\nPreferred Stock Level Management (PSL) - Managing select inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are in place to allow for daily business\nESSENTIAL KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):\n\nSkilled time manager with a strong drive toward independent productivity\nActive listener with the ability to consider feedback\nExcellent attention to detail\nCapability to work in a fast-paced environment\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure smooth and clear interactions across\nall departments at Instrumart and with Vendors\n\nKnowledge and comfort with computers, with the ability to navigate multiple systems.\nSAFETY & COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nFollow company safety policies and procedures and use required PPE\nComplete the required safety trainings\nReport hazards, unsafe conditions, and work-related injuries\nPREFERRED SKILLS:\n\nFamiliarity with NetSuite or similar business management software\nExperience with sharing a workload while working as part of a team\nExperience working in an open office environment\nLOCATION: This position is located in South Burlington, Vermont\nWORK ATMOSPHERE: The Purchasing Associate works in a typical office environment. The office climate is controlled at a comfortable temperature year-round, air-conditioned in the summer, and heated in the cooler seasons. The office is very clean and has significant exposure to natural light.
