Our team does more than identify problems— we provide solutions.The RoleYou will provide technical support in the remediation and sediment/risk assessment service lines on a variety of environmental investigation, mine reclamation, remediation, and water resources projects located throughout the United States and potentially internationally. In this role, you will be guided through procedures to work on a variety of complex and engaging projects, each with unique geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical considerations, with a focus on geochemistry and geochemical modeling.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess laboratory and field-derived datasets to derive conclusions and provide recommendations to project teams, clients, and regulators.Data collection and sample collection.Assist on a variety of complex and engaging projects, each with unique geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical considerations, with a focus on geochemistry and geochemical modeling.Communicate results succinctly through written reports, charts, and technical or schematic illustrations; implement innovative data querying and graphical presentation methods using Excel, python, R or similar.Provide remediation implementation support (e.g., groundwater system installation support, soil excavation, in-situ soil and/or groundwater treatments, etc.)Project management support, including proposal development, cost estimating, and subcontractor management.Technical growth through expanding skills by working on multiple projects with technical experts from a variety of disciplines.Coordination, planning, and schedule fieldwork; identify equipment & safety needs, required permits, and subcontractors.QualificationsExcellent writing and editing skills. Writing examples and/or completion of a test exercise may be requested.Working knowledge of geochemical modeling software (e.g., Geochemists’ Workbench, PHREEQC, or similar).Data plotting and querying skills (Python, R and/or Microsoft Excel).Basic working knowledge of geospatial software (ArcGIS and/or QGIS).Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing simultaneous tasks.Interest and ability to travel out of state and overnight, with the potential for longer work assignments (days to weeks)EducationMaster’s credentials (or bachelor level with 2 or more years work experience) in a field related to geology, geochemistry, or hydrogeology.Highly Qualified CandidatesAqueous geochemistry coursework or experience.Subcontractor coordination and management experience.Environmental media sampling experience (soil, rock, groundwater, gases).Preferably (but not necessarily) located in the eastern United States.ValuesFlexibility and ability to manage multiple deadlines and fast-changing prioritiesAttention to detail and ability to quality check comprehensive datasetsMotivated to learn new skills in disciplines outside primary area of expertiseCuriosity and an affinity for solving problemsDisplay integrity through honesty, fairness, & respectPossesses a sense of responsibility and takes accountabilityTakes initiative and ability to work independentlyMaintains a sense of ownership over delivery of projectsTrustworthy & dependableBenefitsGenerous Vacation PolicyHealth Benefits (medical, dental, vision)401k w/matching optionsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceSick TimeBonus OpportunitiesEEO Statement: EHS Support is an equal opportunity employer.
