This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional that owns their role and seeks to define excellence.\r\nWhat you will be doing\r\nThe Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to the TSMO program for North Carolina DOT.\r\nReview and analyze TSMO performance data.\r\nStrategic planning.\r\nProgram implementation support.\r\nOversee TIM related contracts.\r\nConduct research on best practices nationally.\r\nConduct analysis and research.\r\nCommunicate with client.\r\nSupport TSMO and Traffic Operations programs.\r\nThis position will work on-site at North Carolina DOT Statewide Traffic Management Center, 1636 Gold Star Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607.\r\nWhat you need to be successful in this role\r\nBachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.\r\nMinimum 3 years experience in Traffic Incident Management, Traffic Management, TSMO, ITS, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Design and Planning.\r\nExperience providing Program Support to a transportation client.\r\nExperience applying transportation engineering and/or planning principles such as design criteria, project goals, and specifications and standards.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing with project team.\r\nAbility to effectively plan and schedule work.\r\nIdeally located within the Raleigh, NC metro area.\r\nIteris anticipates paying a base salary between $81,700 and $90,900 for this role.
