Chief Operating Officer Kentucky RegionRegional Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Kentucky RegionPosition SummaryThe Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple healthcare facilities within the Kentucky region for Deaconess Health System. This executive leader partners closely with the Region President, hospital leadership, and clinical teams to drive operational excellence, enhance patient care, improve financial performance, and support continued regional growth.The COO is responsible for leading hospital and ambulatory operations, implementing strategic initiatives, improving patient throughput and experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations across regional hospital and ambulatory servicesPartner with executive and physician leadership to execute strategic initiativesDrive operational improvement, patient experience, and quality outcomesOversee workflow optimization, throughput, and capacity managementIdentify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and service line expansionSupport financial performance through operational excellence and labor managementPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementDevelop and mentor leadership teams across the regionEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policiesQualificationsEducationMaster's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field requiredExperienceMinimum five years of progressive executive healthcare leadership experienceExperience in hospital operations, strategic planning, physician relations, and multi-site leadership preferredDemonstrated success leading operational improvement and organizational growth initiativesKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong operational and financial acumenExcellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skillsProven ability to lead change and drive performance improvementExperience developing high-performing teams and collaborative culturesStrong strategic planning and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
