Here are just a few benefits you will find as an employee:Competitive PayClean and Climate Controlled FacilityHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance; Life Insurance; 401(K)Career Development/Mentorship OpportunitiesQuick and Steady AdvancementUnited Direct Solutions formerly United Mail named Best Workplace 2020 by Printing Industries of AmericaUnited Direct Solutions formerly United Mail 40 Years of Commitment to EmployeesThe Data Processor will use computer software to prepare, organize, and correct electronic files consisting of names, addresses, phone numbers, demographics, as well as related information for direct marketing purposes.The Data Processor will:Prepare incoming customer data for mailing requirements including personalization, USPS postal preparation, and specific client requirements following department procedures.Set up and initiate the following processes:File reformattingMerge / purge/ duplication routinesNCOA (National Change of Address)DSF (Delivery Sequence File)Prepare database for inkjet printing or for high-speed variable printingVariable Data Programming for variable data print outputOther specialized outputs needed for mailingReviews work outputs for accuracyManages own daily work schedule to meet deadlines and individual required benchmarksCreate all USPS paperwork necessary for mail entry: qualification reports, postage statements, tray tags.Validate data file information, define and import database, build necessary conditional logic statementsComplete all ISO quality forms/checklists as required for each jobFollow job ticket specifications and directionsMaintain confidentiality of dataAdhere to all company policies and procedures when it relates to the protection of dataOther duties as assignedSupervisory responsibilities: NoneEducation and/or experience: Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Access, Word, Office). Experience with BCC Mail Manager and general mail industry experience is preferred but not required.Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeReasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work environment: Work area is temperature and humidity controlled. The noise levels vary based on which machines are running.
