Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.\n\nLabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at Long Beach, CA to include, but not limited to LA Country and Orange County areas.\n\nWork Schedule: Flex -This is a casual/per diem position, hours will be as needed. Start and end times may vary between 6:00 am- 6:00pm, Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nPerform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups\nCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.\nPerform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner\nProcess billing information and collect payments when required\nPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis\nMaintain patient and specimen information logs\nProvide superior customer service to all patients\nAdministrative and clerical duties as necessary\nTravel to additional sites when needed\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n6 months or more of experience as phlebotomist\nCalifornia state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist\n1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients\nCurrent or Prior experience at LabCorp\n\nAdditional Job Standards:\n\nIn lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency\nBilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English\nProven track record in providing exceptional customer service\nAbility to work in fast paced / high volume work environments\n Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.\nBe at least 21 years of age\nValid Driver's License and clean driving record\nReliable transportation\nFlexibility to work overtime as needed\nExceptional customer service\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment\nComfortable working under minimal supervision\nAble to attend 2‑week training in California\n\nAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
