This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings both technical accounting depth and the organizational rigor to keep a growing consumer brand’s books clean, accurate, and audit-ready. You’ll report to the VP of Operations and work closely with leadership across the company to deliver timely financial information that drives better decisions.\nWhat You’ll Own\nAccounting Operations\nOwn the month-end and year-end close process — ensuring it’s completed accurately, on time, and well-documented\nMaintain and enforce the company’s accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls\nOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and collections\nManage payroll processing in coordination with HR, ensuring accuracy and compliance\nMaintain the chart of accounts, general ledger integrity, and an orderly accounting filing system\nPerform and oversee periodic bank reconciliations and ensure all required debt payments are made on time\nFinancial Reporting\nProduce timely, accurate, and complete financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis\nDevelop and track financial and operational metrics; calculate variances from budget and report material issues to leadership\nSupport the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including maintaining management cost reports\nProvide financial analyses to support capital investment decisions, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations\nCompliance & Audit\nCoordinate with external auditors for the annual audit; prepare all supporting schedules and documentation\nMonitor debt levels and compliance with any debt covenants\nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings\nSystems & Team\nOwn accounting operations within NetSuite — ensuring data integrity, clean processes, and effective use of the platform\nLead and develop the accounting team, providing coaching, clarity, and accountability\nIdentify and implement process improvements that increase the efficiency and scalability of the finance function\nWhat You Bring\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in consumer products, retail, or branded goods\nCPA preferred; public accounting background a strong plus\nStrong working knowledge of GAAP and experience managing a full-cycle accounting close\nHands-on NetSuite experience preferred; comfort owning systems and driving process improvements\nExperience managing AP, AR, payroll, and banking functions in a multi-channel business\nExcellent attention to detail with the ability to zoom out and communicate financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders\nCollaborative, low-ego leadership style; you build trust through consistency and follow-through\nComfort operating in an entrepreneurial environment where you’re building infrastructure, not just maintaining it\nWhy Topo Designs\nBe part of a beloved brand with a strong identity and loyal community\nA seat at the table in a company where finance has real influence on business decisions\nA culture that values craftsmanship, integrity, and a good sense of humor\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and a generous product allowance\nDenver-based with a team that actually loves what they make\nTopo Designs is an equal opportunity employer.
