The successful candidate should have proven experience in creating a program which motivates student participation as well as commitment to wellness.Duties and Responsibilities:Design and direct adaptive physical education classes.Identify and assess needs of each studentEvaluate students' growth through review on a consistent basisProvide instruction that is congruent with goals and objectives listed on IEPEnsure the health, safety and general well being of the studentsFunction as a member of IEP team, addressing needs of studentsPrepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as requiredQualifications:Bachelors level degree in education requiredMinor in Special Education OR minimum of 5 years experience working with special education students preferredValid PA Instructional Certificate in Health and Physical Education PK-12 requiredExperience teaching health and physical educationExperience working with children and adolescents with severe and complex behavior challenges in school, community, or residential setting preferredCurrent police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances requiredSalary - 2025-2026 School Year (Professional):$58751 - $88,563 - Instructional I$61,300 - $92,110 - Instructional II$65,394 - $100,586 - Master's degree$68,403 - $104,546 - Master's degree plus 15 credits$69,938 - $106,442 - Master's degree plus 30 creditsSchedule:5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day, 194 days per yearTo find out more about our School-Age programs and their services, please click here: https://www.cciu.org/special-education/school-age-program?tag_id=16LBEqual Opportunity Employer
