As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the provision, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of our AWS infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate closely with Architecture, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to align with our business objectives and deliver cutting-edge cloud solutions.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nCreates a well-informed cloud strategy and manages the adaption process.\nDesigns, plans, manages, maintains, and supports, and any other technological duties associated with the organization's cloud computing environment.\nMonitors the consumption of cloud resources, requests fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture and evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software as needed.\nDesigns technical solutions on AWS public cloud environments, creating functional design specifications, reference architectures, and other technical specifications.\nWorks cross-functionally with multiple teams to analyze cloud service provider SLAs, KRI, and KPI metrics. Collaborates with Engineering teams to enable their applications to run on applicable Cloud Platform. Works closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.\nOn-Call Rotation: Part of a team that rotates on-call duties for production-critical events in AWS.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Will Need:\n\nBachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.\nTypically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.\nAWS Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with AWS.\nAWS Services: Working knowledge of key AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch.\nSecurity: Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and experience implementing security measures, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and network security.\nNetwork Configuration: Experience with AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, security groups, NACLs, and familiarity with routing, VPNs, and Direct Connect.\nMonitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and familiarity with third-party monitoring solutions.\nHigh Availability and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of AWS services and best practices for achieving high availability and disaster recovery.\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar technologies\nInitiative: Actively participate in identifying changes in technology, processes, and procedures that improve team and company effectiveness and performance.\nSelf Discipline: Staying focused, motivated, organized, and present in a remote work environment, managing time effectively, adhering to schedules, avoiding distractions.\nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.\nTeam Player: Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.\nContinuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated with the latest AWS services and industry best practices.\n\nThe responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive and may be changed at any time.\n\nSalary range: $72,000 – $120,000\n\nThe salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
