Whether you're launching your career or looking to grow in the environmental space, this is an opportunity to gain meaningful experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.What You’ll DoSafely collect, consolidate, and transport hazardous and regulated waste from client sitesEnsure all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and documented in compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulationsPerform site inspections to identify, characterize, and segregate waste streamsLoad/unload drums, containers, and bulk materials using safe handling practicesMaintain accurate manifests, logs, and compliance documentationOperate service vehicles and equipment safely and efficientlyRespond to spill cleanups and environmental incidents, supporting emergency response effortsCollect waste samples for profiling, classification, and regulatory complianceCoordinate transportation logistics to ensure timely and compliant waste movementMaintain clean, organized work environments and equipmentCollaborate with internal teams and interact professionally with clients across R&D, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilitiesRequirementsOSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (Required)High School Diploma or GEDValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work outdoors in varying conditions and handle physical, hands-on workSolid communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WANTAGH, NY.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility Requirements Apply To Some Benefits And May Depend On Your Job Classification And Length Of Employment.
