This engineer will design, develop, architect, and configure the Enterprise MAS platform across development, test, stage, and production environments. The role requires exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-organizational leadership, technical teams, vendors, center stakeholders, and IT personnel. This individual will document and review system designs in alignment with NASA engineering practices and participate in formal reviews as designated by the NASA Technical Point Of Contact (TPOC). This role requires 8+ years of hands-on Maximo/Maximo Application Suite (MAS) experience.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nServe as the primary functional POC for Maximo Application Suite (MAS) user support,\nbusiness process optimization, and configuration management.\n\nServe as liaison between business stakeholders, field users, IT teams, and vendors to\nensure MAS solutions align with operational and maintenance needs.\n\nMonitor and resolve system issues, data inconsistencies, and user access challenges.\n\nAnalyze existing workflows, data collection forms, and business processes across key\nMaximo modules (Work Orders, PM/CM, Asset Management).\n\nIdentify opportunities for modernization, optimization, and standardization.\n\nMaintain system configurations, lookup tables, and workflow logic.\n\nSupport migration of manual or paper-based workflows to modern, mobile-enabled\nsolutions integrated with Maximo Application Suite.\n\nGather requirements directly from NASA customers, field personnel, maintenance staff,\nand business leaders.\n\nTranslate requirements into business requirements documents, user stories, process maps,\nand configuration specifications.\n\nCollaborate with developers, architects, and integration teams to ensure enhancements\nmeet operational needs.\n\nReview and resolve center-specific configuration differences with focus on standardizing\napplication structure and configurations across the Enterprise.\nLead standardization of business and technical requirements across NASA centers.\n\nImplement standardized release management, including version control, testing, and\ncontrolled promotion of changes across environments.\n\nParticipate in system testing, user validation, and change-management activities for\nproject rollouts and updates.\n\nPartner with IT support and vendor resources to resolve system performance or technical\nescalations.\n\nProvide engineering support for the RedHat OpenShift-based MAS container platform.\n\nManage system requirements and provide hardware/software updates for evolving\nworkloads.\n\nAnalyze requirement sets to ensure compliance with reliability, maintainability, and\navailability standards.\n\nInstall, integrate, validate, and document MAS components, services, and system\nsoftware into a fully operational system.\n\nEnsure alignment with NASA’s infrastructure, functional, and interface design\nrequirements.\n\nConduct system verification testing and support customer acceptance of delivered\nsolutions.\n\nCoordinate with NASA customers, center operations, maintenance, and IT stakeholders\nto gather interface requirements and communicate progress.\n\nUnderstand hybrid integration between on-premise and cloud systems; determine middleware/API gateway needs.\n\nTroubleshoot enterprise data discrepancies and integration-related issues.\n\nBuild, test, maintain, and manage API integrations between enterprise systems.\n\nEnsure data integrity and reliable data flow across systems from requirements through production deployment.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\n8+ years of demonstrated Maximo/MAS experience involving configuration, solution design, and workflow optimization.\nStrong experience gathering, documenting, and translating functional requirements into technical specifications.\nExperience administering and configuring Maximo/MAS modules (Work Orders, PM/CM, Asset Management).\nExperience with mobile‑enabled Maximo workflows and modernization initiatives.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional IT, engineering, operational, and vendor teams.\nStrong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with ability to resolve integration, workflow, and data issues.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting NASA or federal Maximo deployments.\nExperience performing project management and systems engineering aligned with NPR 7120.7A.\nExperience with RedHat OpenShift or containerized MAS environments.\nFamiliarity with Maximo Mobile and related configuration tools.\nExperience with system integration, API management, or middleware solutions.\nExperience with multi‑center standardization efforts.\nBenefits of working at Brown Technologies Incorporated\nBrown is proud to support the health and wellbeing of the people we employ.
